$100 laptop and Bill Gates
March 21st, 2006 — maxwellI’m glad I stopped using Microsoft products a few years ago when I was “saved from the dark side” by my mentor. MIT and Google are sponsoring building a laptop costing only $100, and plan on selling it only to developing countries. To some countries even a $100 is a lot of money, but none the less, it’s nice to see big corporations doing something useful to help promote technology to kids who probably barely ever receive even books. Here’s a news story released today about Bill Gates being his asinine arrogant self. He basically mocked the project, why, because he wants people to purchase his more expensive hardware platform he’s working on.
I’ve never not met someone and had feelings of disgust like I do when I think about Bill Gates. Here’s people getting together to, like I said, help promote getting technology into others hands that simply can’t afford it. What does ol’ Bill do, make fun of it and call it basically junk, because he’s so damn greedy he can’t accept someone else buying something that might just work better than what his shite can. I know he donates a ton of money, which he damn well should, to many charities a year, but come on. Stupid little things just like is, just makes me add a check mark on a list of reasons why I will not purchase and support his empire of utter garbage. There I feel better now that I’ve slammed Gates today. My good deed is done for the day.
