Thoughts from the abyss

I’ve been working on a small SNMP how-to that I finally finished this evening. It’s completely geared toward simplicity and newbies to SNMP, so if you have any experience at all with SNMP, chances are it won’t help you. I’ve completely taught myself SNMP, so it’s just my thoughts on getting it installed and working on a Linux host. There is tons of documentation available for the service, but I remember when I first started learning it, I found many of the docs were speaking above my level. If I’m trying to learn something, I need something at my level to teach me. Not something that is so above my head that I find it hard to walk away with knowledge.
