I got tired of Thunderbird’s lack of classifying junk e-mail correctly the past week or two, so I found a nice little replacement package called POPFile. It sits between your e-mail client and your ISP’s POP server and scans your mail. It’s working quite nicely actually, so I wrote a littel guide for installation under CentOS 4.4 using Thunderbird as your e-mail client. There are tons of other configuration/setup options, so if this isn’t what you’re looking for, then I suggest going to the main site and reading the FAQs. POPFile’s Site.
