Death of arcades
June 5th, 2008 — maxwellI ran across an interesting article today about the death of video games. You can find the post here at the Chicago Tribune.
This is absolutely no surprise, and honestly, I’m surprised they stayed open as long as they did. I’m 28 years old, and I remember arcades in my small home town disappearing even 15 years ago. Even my first video game systems, which included Nintendo, Sega, and Super Nintendo, started killing off the arcades even that long ago. I do remember going to arcades though and having a blast. RIP Arcade.
