New theme, tips page, and blah blah blah

Well, I’ve been busy the past few days. I went ahead and re-themed the site, obviously if it looks different than it did before. About the only thing I changed with the theme (which I can since it’s GPL’d) was to add a matching border around the whole page (not exciting).

I also added a new page to the sidebar called Tips. I figured I could add little things I sometimes forget, such as commands and what-not that are too small to be considered a How-To. Hmmm, what else…

Oh yeah, I created a neat page this week for my online HTML/CSS class. Since I’m a huge NFL fan, I created a standings page based on divisions, spans, and CSS z-indexing. I know I can reduce the code a lot, but I wanted to understand everything that was going on, so there’s like a billion classes being defined. None the less, check it out on my static site here: NFL Standings. Yeah, it’s nothing super special, but my instructor said he thought it looked neat which is all that matters to me.

I hope everyone visiting enjoys the new theme. I think it gives my site a much cleaner, sharper, and more professional look. Not that I attract loads of traffic, but I do want those that do visit for whatever reason to have an easy to read and navigate site.
