Thoughts from the abyss

It’s hard to believe the San Diego fires burning right now could affect others 3000 miles away. I’ve mentioned writing tech articles for MCPress Online before. My editor lives in San Diego. We’ve exchanged a few e-mails the last day or two, and she just updated a list of us a few minutes ago. The one fire is only about 8 miles from her right now. The smoke is pretty bad, but she thinks things *should* be ok. I wished I lived closer, so that I could help.

I can’t even pretend to imagine the magnitude of everything. I feel very bad for all of those displaced and who have lost homes. I was watching the news and the media has mentioned arson might be responsible for some of the fires. What sick demented person could do such a thing, unbelievable.
